I was sitting on a bench on the lawns of the Union Buildings getting a bit of respite from the heat. I was waiting for the floats in the annual Heritage Day street carnival to arrive at the Union Buildings.
There was a muddy patch on the lawn not far from where I was sitting with two little boys enjoying themselves in the mud. These guys were covered in mud virtually from head to foot.
I am not sure what happened but the older boy accidentally bumped the other with his elbow. When I took this shot the older kid was trying to console the younger boy. About ten seconds after this shot the little one was smiling and back in the mud.
